NVDB Limited vehicle width
Description
The data product includes data on traffic rules, issued by regulation or other decision, on restriction to less width of vehicles or road trains incl. load than otherwise applies. The data product consists of the phenomenon type Limited vehicle width belonging to the product group NVDB and the product subgroup Traffic rule phenomenon types in NVDB. The data product is registered on the car network. The purpose of the data product is to provide customers with information about road sections where traffic is regulated by specifying the maximum width of vehicles or road trains. This information may prevent the circulation of vehicles with a width greater than that indicated from taking these roads. Exemptions for certain types of vehicles are possible. Traffic control can be used to make it easy to see where traffic is restricted through regulation. The user can also see where on the road a regulation of traffic begins and ends. For example, a limited width of vehicles can be used to prevent traffic on roads where access is restricted for vehicles above a certain width.
