Description
The data product consists of the wear layer phenomenon type. The type of occurrence contains information about the wear layer of the road such as paved road or gravel road. The purpose of the data product is to provide information about where different types of wear bearings occur. Wear bearings of different types can have very different performance in terms of, for example, tyre wear, friction, traffic noise and road unevenness/comfort. An overall requirement for wear bearings is good durability, as short road durability gives high life cycle cost even if the price tag for paved coating may be low.
