Description
The speed of a stretch is signposted on plates along the track. Details of these boards can be found in the computer product Paintings (mainly ATC). They indicate the designated distance speed for A trains. If the track is equipped with an ATC system, a certain percentage overrun can be projected compared to the signposted speed for B-trains and S-trains. In the ERTMS system, the respective trains have their own speed profile and are not handled by speed overrun in %. The percentage speed overrun is given in the speed overrun % subdivision type. The speed overrun is indicated for B trains/S trains by the percentage from the signposted speed applicable to A trains. The percentage depends on how the course is designed. • A train: conventional train with locomotives and wagons for freight and passenger services, with rigid bogie. No percentage overruns are allowed. • B trains: passenger trains type multiple units X10 and X20, soft bogie trains, ex intercity trains. The normal overrun for B trains is 10%. • S trains: high-speed train with tilting. The normal overrun for S trains is 30%. The data product has stretch distribution and connects to the railway network with reference from node to node in the direction of the track link.
