Jvgdata Switchgear

Description

The data product represents the physical switches and crossings on the network, which are devices enabling a rail vehicle to travel from one track to another. There are a number of main types of switches and crossings that are represented in the data product. It is single gear (EV), single gear with movable crossing tip (EKR), single crossing gear (EKV), double crossing gear (DKV) and triple gear (3V). An overview of these types of switches is given here: Simple switch (poss.) - a switch that has a deviating track. Single switchgear with movable crossing point (evr) – a switchgear with a deviating track and a switchable crossing point. Easy crossing gear (eq) - two crossing tracks where two movement paths are connected to each other. Double crossing gear (dkv) - two crossing tracks where all four movement paths are connected to each other. Triple gear (3v) - a switchgear that has two deviating tracks. The switch is composed of two simple switches represented by two nodes. The data product is an object type, but the switches are also nodes in the track network, where the track links have their start and end points. The product contains information in the form of attributes and components. It is information about the type of switch, what characteristics the switch has, who is the owner, identity and year of installation in the track. Some of the attributes found in the product are also attached to the node and transferred to Trams with automatic processes. The following attributes are mandatory for switches and crossings: • Switch (data is automatically transmitted from node) • Switch type (data is automatically transmitted from node) • BISref node type (data is automatically transmitted from node) • Heavy-duty length (data is automatically transmitted from node) • V/H switch • LÖradius - switches on LÖ road • Curvature type (Arc) • Connector type The switch type attribute has values composed of four parts as shown in examples EV-UIC60-760-1:15 and EV-SJ50-11-1:9 . Initially, the main gear type is represented by two to three characters, such as EV, EVR and DKV. This is followed by data representing profile type for rail and weight per metre of rail, e.g. UIC60 and SJ50. As part three follows, for older switches and crossings, the heavy length(m), e.g. 11 and for newer switches and crossings, radius (m) for branch tracks, e.g. 760. Finally, the last part consists of a value of the angle of the switch to connecting tracks, e.g. 1:9 and 1:15. The angle is based on the mathematical intersection point and is measured between the keys of each track.
