Barrier maps of large mammals

Description

Barrier maps are a package containing road and rail map layers that show barriers and potential passages for larger mammals. The material is vector data and is based on information from the Swedish Transport Administration's bridge database (Batman) where extraction has taken place in 2017 and 2019 and where theoretically calculated barriers, passages and impact areas based on certain criteria such as traffic volume, design, etc. The material is delivered with a .lyr file that controls visualization and helps in interpreting the material. Delivery format - ESRI SHAPE. Contents --------------------------- 1) "Barriäranalys.lyr" = loads all other shape files and controls the layout of the maps (should be opened first) 2) Potential passages: "Potential_passages_2020.shp" = All grade differences at road or rail barrier with potential function for larger mammals. 3) Effect range of potential road passages "Effectomrade_potential_passages_vag_2020.shp" = Circles illustrating the theoretical barrier dissolving power distance of the passages. This distance can be 500, 1000, 1500 or 2000 meters depending on how high functionality the passage can potentially achieve. 4) Road barrier sections: "Remaining_vagbarriar_2020.shp" = Road sections that constitute barriers according to a number of criteria. 5) Remaining road barrier: "vagbarriar_2020.shp" = The road barrier sections that remain after sections within passenger effet distances and within agglomerations have been excluded. 6) Power range of potential rail passages: "Effectomrade_potential_passages_jarnvag_2020.shp" = Circles illustrating the theoretical barrier-dissolving power distance of the passages. This distance can be 500, 1000, 1500 or 2000 meters depending on how high functionality the passage can potentially achieve. 7) Railway barrier sections: "Remaining_jarnvagsbarriar_2020.shp" = Rail sections that constitute barriers according to a number of criteria. 8) Remaining rail barrier: "jarnvagsbarriar_2020.shp" = The rail-barrier sections that remain after sections within passenger effet distances and within agglomerations have been excluded. 9) Urban buffer: "Tatorter_50mBuffert_2020.shp" = Agglomeration layer from LMV with a buffer of 50 meters.
