Description
A stoppoint describes a place at a point of exchange where means of transport can stop. A stop point can only belong to one switching point and one type of means of transport. However, the physical location of a stoppoint may overlap with other stoppoints. Only interchange points with stop points can serve means of transport. The purpose of the data product stop points is to indicate locations where there is a connection to other traffic networks or modes. A stoppoint is always connected to an object in the data product exchange points. The Finnish Transport Agency's data product stop point indicates stop points for road and rail.
