Description
Referential of the groups of taxon designations of SANDRE. This repository is developed following requests for user codifications. The technical secretariat of the Sandre controls the quality of this repository, it is the administrator of it.
A taxon naming group is a set of taxon namings with common characteristics. The criteria for defining taxon naming groups can be complex and multiple. These criteria relate to the purpose for which a grouping of taxa is defined.
A taxon naming group can contain several subgroups, in hierarchical order up to several lower levels. A taxon naming group can be attached to several parent taxon naming groups.
