Fish farming contexts - Metropolis
Description
The fish farming context is a component of the hydrographic system delimited by a biological criterion. It is the spatial unit in which a fish population functions autonomously. It is established for a reference population whose characteristics are the representativeness of the fish farming area and ecosensitivity. The fish farming context is defined according to the fish farming area and the functional state of the stand in question.
It is linked to the fish zonation of the watercourse. Three stand types were identified according to the original potential of the fish farming context.
- Salmon farming (S): in salmon farming, the natural characteristics of the environment are suitable for the requirements of Fario trout and accompanying species.
- Intermediate (I): in the intermediate range, the natural characteristics of the environment are suitable for the requirements of the common shade and whitewater cyprinids.
- Cyprinicole (C): in the field of cypriniculture, the natural characteristics of the environment are suitable for the requirements of calm water cyprinids and their predators (carnassiers).
