Tourist facilities directly linked to the French coastal path (metropolis and overseas)
Description
The coastal path must allow pedestrians to access the sea shore and walk as much as possible along the coastline.
It refers to the entire route open along the sea.
It does not have a single legal status as it consists of sections of a different legal nature. Depending on the nature of the land bordering the public maritime domain, the trail passes over the public domain of the State or local authorities, or over private property.
The entire path constituting the coastal path includes the path open to pedestrians, the linear of path to study or accessible in the short term, the linear of inaccessible coastline.
This layer lists tourist facilities directly linked to the coastal path (picnic areas, orientation tables, etc.) on part of the metropolitan coastal departments and Guadeloupe. Eventually, the data will be available on the entire metropolitan coastline and overseas.
This resource is in compliance with the COVADIS Coastal Trail Data Standard (version 1.0 - document dated January 22, 2014).
