Description
Geolittoral is the sea and coastline data portal of the Ministry of the Environment. In particular, it disseminates the geographical data produced as part of the implementation of the public policies implemented by the Ministry and is intended to cover all French maritime and coastal areas. It also provides information and documents to explain these policies and their implementation.
Geolittoral's editorial committee is made up of several directorates/departments of the Ministry responsible for the environment:
- the Directorate-General for Planning, Housing and Nature (DGALN), represented by its Information System Advisory Office and its Maritime and Coastal Space Management Office,
- the Office of the Commissioner-General for Sustainable Development (CGDD), represented by its Sub-Directorate for Statistical Studies and its geographical information mission,
- the Delegation to the Sea and Coast (DML).
Cerema is responsible for the functional administration of the site.
