Ortho littorale v2 (2011-2014)
Description
An orthophotograph is an aerial photo that has undergone orthorectification. This is a procedure that will allow, by following steps, to distort a digital image to make it conform, at any point, to a cartographic projection system. The result will be a digital image that can be directly integrated into a GIS. The V2® littoral orthography is a database composed of mosaics of color orthophotography. This is an update of the ortho littorale 2000® on the North Sea, English Channel and Atlantic coastline and a first acquisition on the Mediterranean coastline.
The production site for the V2 littoral ortho was launched in 2011 and completed in 2014. It is a database funded by the Ministry of the Environment.
The specifications available on Geolittoral contain specifications to cover all coastal issues. Thus the flights were made in high tide conditions at low tide, the areas of marine cultivation were lifted, the shooting area goes up in the rias, abers and estuaries. This is a product that has the great advantage of having a real land-sea interface.
