Fairing areas in marinas, mooring areas and private nautical sites
Description
As part of the implementation of the action plan for marine environments, Cerema Risques, Eau et Mer, carried out a national study for the Ministry responsible for the environment in metropolitan France to identify the level of equipment in fairing areas of marinas, anchorages and private nautical sites in order to assess their respect for the environment.
The data collected through surveys carried out during 2017 among managers, government departments and public institutions concerned and supplemented by a bibliographical search made it possible to build a layer of geographical information. The latter locates, in the form of points, the sites (pleasure ports, mooring areas and private nautical sites) equipped or not with fairing areas. The layer also characterizes the level of equipment in fairing areas of each of the sites identified and, for those equipped with a fairing area, the type of effluent treatment. This layer is updated annually from data collected in the last quarter by return mail or on GeoIDE.
