Description
The Chamber of Visual Arts, a legal entity governed by public law, is the institutional advisor of the State according to its law (Law 1218/81), is the collective body of more than 6,000 visual artists. It strives to achieve the purposes for which it exists:
- the development of the visual arts and the strengthening of the social function of art, the safeguarding of the right to freedom of artistic expression, the promotion of artistic creation,
- supporting visual artists by ensuring the conditions to carry out their work
- the contribution to the State in shaping its cultural policy.
