Noise alert maps and strategic noise maps
Description
The noise warning maps have been prepared according to T-1442 and are mainly used at municipal level to show areas exposed to noise from traffic on European, national and county roads. The maps shall not be used for detailed assessment of individual dwellings or as documentation in zoning plans, until there is uncertainty in the input data too great. The noise alert maps are renewed as needed approximately every 5 years.
The strategic noise maps show the noise situation from road traffic at the turn of 2021/2022 for the largest urban areas in the country and in addition along the national and county roads where it passes more than 8,200 vehicles per day. This noise mapping is carried out in accordance with requirements in the Pollution Control Regulations and is part of a larger survey in Europe. The dataset is not updated, but is remanufactured every five years.
