Territorial Directorates (DT)
Description
The NFB is organised on the basis of a territorial mesh, based on the geographical distribution of the public forest and the territorial organisation of the State. The NFB’s territorial organisation is structured into two main hierarchical levels: a level of management and support and a level of management and production. Pursuant to Resolution No. 2016-11 of the Board of Directors of 12 October 2016, the NFB has 6 territorial directorates (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Centre Ouest-Aquitaine, Grand-Est, Seine-Nord and Midi-Méditerranée) and 5 regional directorates (Corse, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Réunion including Mayotte and Martinique). Mainly at the level of management and production, the regional directorates (DRs) carry out, given their geographical remoteness, the tasks carried out by the territorial directorates. The territorial directorate (DT), and where appropriate the regional directorate, contributes to the development of the various national strategies and declines them at its level, on the one hand, coordinates, supports, monitors and evaluates all the activities carried out by the territorial and specialised agencies within its remit, on the other hand. It coordinates the Office’s representation and institutional relations across its geographical scope.
