Dunkirk offshore wind farm - Swell measurements collected on the study area
Description
A sea state study was conducted on the EMR study area off Dunkirk. Two current profilers AWAC houlographs were thus deployed in 2016 on tripod cages placed on the bottom. The swell measurement files collected during this campaign are made available.
The Nortek AWAC profilers deployed on the two anchorages made it possible to measure all types of swells, including long swells, storm swells and windy seas:
- AWAC1 (51°10,118'N/002°24,633'E) from 1 to 23/09/2016
- AWAC2 (51°11,581’N/002°24,244’E) from 6 to 9/10/2016
Accessible data: 2 .csv files corresponding to each of the two rolled out wave profilers AWAC1 and AWAC2.
The information provided is pressure, temperature, pitch and roll, speeds and directions for 20 immersions in the water column from 1.4m to 20.4m (from the surface to the bottom).
