Dunkirk offshore wind farm - bathymetric NTMs of the study area
Description
Environmental recognition bathymetric surveys of the Dunkirk EMR study area were conducted by Shom in 2016 and 2017. All validated probes were used to create digital models of 0.5m mesh terrain. 5 additional NTMs on the park area were provided to Shom by iXBlue to fill the data gaps.
Bathymetric surveys carried out mainly at SMF 2040c by hydrographic headings at a speed of approximately 6 knots (description in the final survey report n°42 Shom/GHOA/NP of 7 March 2017 and n°150 Shom/GHOA/NP of 21 September 2017 (park area) and n°201 Shom/GHOA/NP of 19 December 2017 (corridor area))
Available data:
Final NTM without interpolation:
- Ascii Grid raster file: MNT_0.5m_2017_L93.asc MNT_0.5m_2017_L93.asc.aux.xml MNT_0.5m_2017_L93.prj
- Depth layer geotiff raster file: MNT_0.5m_ 2017_L93.tif (export of the "depth" layer of the MNT .csar)
- Density layer geotiff raster file: MNT_0.5m_ densite_ 2017_L93.tif
Interpolated final NTM:
- MNT_0.5m_2017_interpolate3x3_L93
The NTM was then interpolated to fill the few empty meshes (5,795 interpolated meshes in total, out of a total of nearly 91 million meshes), average value on a 3x3 mesh matrix around the empty mesh, with a minimum of 3 non-empty meshes in the matrix.
- Depth layer geotiff raster file: MNT_0.5m_ 2017_interpolate3x3_L93.tif
- ascii Grid file: MNT_0.5m_ 2017_interpolate3x3_L93.asc MNT_0.5m_ 2017_interpolate3x3_L93.asc.aux MNT_0.5m_ 2017_interpolate3x3_L93.prj
The raw .csar files, developed under CARIS BathyDataBase (BDB), are not uploaded due to their volume (possibly on request).
Horizontal references: WGS84 assimilated to the RGF93 geodetic system (difference of 65 cm between the two systems, taken into account in the balance of theoretical errors); Lambert93 projection
Vertical references: ZH in Dunkirk for the probes, the vertical reference of the altitudes is the zero of the NGF-IGN system 1969.
