Dunkirk offshore wind farm - Current measurements collected on the study area
Description
A current study was conducted on the EMR study area off Dunkirk. Two Aquadopp single-layer current meters and two AWAC waveform current profilers were deployed in 2016 on tripod cages placed on the bottom. The current measurement files collected during this campaign are made available (components of speed versus time).
Two instrumented anchorages were deployed on the EMR study area in Dunkirk:
- from 1 to 23/09/2016 for anchorage No 1 AWAC_1 (F0542 , 51°10,118’N/002°24,633’E)
- from 6/09 to 9/10/2016 for anchorage No 2 AWAC_2 (F0544, 51°11,581’N/002°24,244’E))
Each anchorage had two types of current meters: an acoustic houlograph profiler (AWAC, NORTEK), a single-layer current meter.
