Sea dredging homogeneous zone rights-of-way
Description
A homogeneous zone of dredging (ZHD) is defined as a sector whose composition of sediments is homogeneous chemically and physically.
The definition of homogeneous dredging zones within a port makes it possible to draw up a sampling plan by defining the number of samples to be taken prior to the dredging operation according to the situation of the HDZ (in a free-trade or confined area) and the volume to be dredged (in accordance with Circular No 2000-62 of 14 June 2000 and its technical instructions).
This geographical layer represents the homogeneous dredging areas of seaports for which Cerema has surface data. This layer is intended to evolve according to the responses of port managers to the annual surveys on maritime dredging.
Description of the fields:
- facade: name of the seafront
- dep_nom: name of department
- dep_code: Department code
- type_port: type of port, either Grand Port Maritime (GPM) or Other port (i.e. not having the status of GPM)
- municipality: name of the municipality
- port: port name
- zhd_name: Name of the Homogenous Dredging Area
- zhd_code: Homogenous Dredging Area Identifier
- long_wgs84 & lat_wgs84: each ZHD is located punctually by a couple of XY coordinates (WGS84-EPSG4326). The point was historically placed arbitrarily, at the most representative level of the area, without necessarily corresponding exactly to the centroid of the surface geometry available today.
