INSPIRE - Hydrography in Wallonia (BE) - Physical waters - Surface waters - Watercourses
Description
This series of spatial data layers compile information from the INSPIRE theme "hydrography" - part "Surface Waters" - "Rivers".
The European Directive 2007/2/EC - INSPIRE Directive - establishes an infrastructure for spatial information in the European Community. INSPIRE applies to 34 thematic areas divided into 3 Annexes. This series includes the spatial data layers referring to and in accordance with the theme "Hydrography" (Annex 1.8) for the part relating to surface waters - Watercourses (Physical Water - Watercourse).
Within the meaning of the Directive, rivers may be natural or artificial. In the Walloon Region, they come from the linear of surface water bodies.
