Agricultural region

Description

Agricultural regions defined in the Royal Decree of 24/02/1951 fixing their delimitation within the Kingdom, as amended on 15/07/1953, 08/03/1968 and 15/02/1974. The agricultural regions are: dune region, Polder region, sandy region, Campine, sandy-loamy region, loamy region, Condruzian region, Jurassic region, Ardennes, Famenne and Herbagère region. This data was originally digitized to distinguish agricultural regions that have different yields. The estimated yields were taken into account in the calculation of the Common Agricultural Policy premiums. Agricultural regions remain a reference in this area even if they no longer play a similar role in the calculation of premiums.
