INSPIRE - Prevention and surveillance zones around catchments in Wallonia (BE)
Description
This class of entities contains all prevention zones and monitoring zones around groundwater abstractions in Wallonia.
The data is presented here in its INSPIRE compliant version. It compiles two source data: prevention zones and surveillance zones.
Prevention zones classified as close (IIa) or remote (IIb) and are approved by ministerial order or at the public inquiry (in progress or completed). They come from the official layer of the SPW-DGO3 prevention zones.
The monitoring zones are demarcated around certain zones for the prevention of the most important public drinking water abstractions due to the volumes used.
Currently, there are five of them throughout Wallonia. The monitoring zones III are delimited by the catchment area and the hydrogeological basin and provided (to the SPW-DGO3-DESO) on paper by the public water producer who carried out the study.They come from the official layer of the monitoring zones of the SPW-DGO3.
