Description

Routes of the road network for the transport of roundwood in sawmills and holdings following the stoppage of 1 July 2010. All sections of roads forming the network of roundwood transport roads for national use. This type of transport usually requires a preliminary study and it must be the subject of an administrative authorization. It imposes a particular route, the use of adapted vehicles and special traffic conditions, especially for schedules. The movement of an exceptional convoy requires an authorization issued by the prefect of the department of departure responsible for the convoy. This authorisation is intended to preserve the road heritage (in particular bridges) and to limit the discomfort of other road users (road safety).
