Description

All sections of roads forming the network of Category 1 and 2 roads for national use.This type of transport usually requires a preliminary study and requires administrative authorisation. It imposes a particular route, the use of adapted vehicles and special traffic conditions, especially for schedules. The movement of an exceptional convoy requires an authorization issued by the prefect of the department of departure responsible for the convoy. This authorisation is intended to preserve the road heritage (in particular bridges) and to limit the discomfort of other road users (road safety).
