Don Quixote Route in Castilla-La Mancha
Description
The Route of Don Quixote has been declared by the European Cultural Route Council of Europe, the fourth in Spain, after the Camino de Santiago, the legacy of Al-Andalus and the Sephardic Routes. Along 2,500 kilometers, this route, composed of 10 sections, crosses 148 municipalities and runs through the main natural and cultural areas of Castilla-La Mancha. Livestock roads, historic roads, river banks or disused railway platforms, which give access to more than 2,000 elements of cultural interest and about twenty areas of natural attraction that run through the five provinces of the Region.
