Agricultural research centers in Castilla-La Mancha
Description
The IR I A F (Regional Institute for Agri-Food and Forestry Research and Development) aims to promote research, development, innovation, training, modernisation and transfer of knowledge and research results, aimed at the agricultural, livestock, forestry, environmental, hunting, aquaculture and river fisheries sectors, as well as their processing and marketing industries, through the promotion of technological development and the dynamisation of initiatives that carry new production orientations or the adaptation to the market and their demands for quality and competitiveness.
It consists of the following centres:
• Wine and Wine Research Center (IVICAM), in Tomelloso, Ciudad Real, headquarters of the management of the I R I A F.
• Apiculture and Agroenvironmental Research Center (CIAPA) in Marchamalo, Guadalajara
• Agroenvironmental Research Center (CIAG) “El Chaparrillo”, Ciudad Real
• Agroforestry Research Center (CIAF) of Albaladejito, Cuenca
• Animal Selection and Reproduction Center (CERSYRA), in Valdepeñas, Ciudad Real
• Agricultural Research Center “Dehesón del Encinar”, in Oropesa, Toledo
• Viticulture and Oenology Station (EVE) in Alcazar de San Juan, Ciudad Real
