Enhanced bass mapping of alpine silage swamps (Nature type code: 7240)
Description
The County Administrative Board of Västerbotten and the Swedish Species Data Bank carried out an extended base mapping of alpine silage marshes (annex I-nature type 7240) in the mountains of Västerbotten County. The aim was to increase knowledge about the poorly known habitat as a basis for biogeographical monitoring. In total, we visited seven different mountain areas and demarcated and documented (reference: manual for base inventory of mountain and mountain nature types, Swedish Environmental Protection Agency 2007) structures/functions and typical species. The result is GIS layers (stored in NNK) as well as Excel files, photos and GPS data.
