The perimeters of land developments

Description

With the Law on the Development of the Rural Territories (LDTR), the department now holds the overall competence in rural land development, encompassing operations previously conducted under the responsibility of the State and financed by the departmental council. The DTR law has had the important consequence of redefining the different modes of land development. The Foncier Agricole et Forestier (AFAF) has in particular replaced consolidation, the most common procedure in Meurthe-et-Moselle. Much more than a change of name, it is a real overhaul of the procedure and its objectives that has been carried out. Thus, at a time when the sustainable development of rural areas is an essential priority of spatial planning, land-use planning becomes more than ever a tool to seek a learned balance between the economic, social and environmental development of space. The Owner’s Guide To better understand this procedure and to understand the diversity of its stakes, the departmental council of Meurthe-et-Moselle has published “Aménagement terres, le guide du owner”. In addition to its explanatory nature, this guide has been designed so that each person affected by a land development (owner, association, operators, etc.) can know at all times their rights and obligations.
