The purpose of the Directive is to prevent major accidents involving dangerous substances and to limit their consequences for man and the environment. The SEVESO geographic dataset makes it possible to locate all SEVESO establishments in France. A distinction is made between Seveso Seuil high and Seveso Seuil low establishments.
