Description
Net cost of traffic, divided by the number of inhabitants in the region on 31/12. The municipality’s or region’s net cost of an activity shows how much of the costs of the activity are financed by municipal or regional tax plus general government grants and equalisation. The majority of the net cost consists of grants to the respective regional public transport authority/contracting company, to cover the costs not financed by ticket and season ticket sales and other traffic revenue (e.g. advertising revenue) and government grants. In addition, municipalities and regions also have their own costs for public transport, including purchases.
