Description

Proportion (%) of patients with at least one pressure ulcer in somatic inpatient care at the time of measurement. Pressure ulcers mean unnecessary suffering for the patient and unnecessary costs for health care. All pressure ulcers can be avoided with preventive measures, such as pressure-relieving mattresses, heel relief, and planned position change in chair and bed. The measurement is carried out over a two-week period, twice a year (of which the spring measurement is reported in Kolada), which gives a snapshot at the time of measurement and the outcome may be influenced by other external factors at the time of measurement. Data is available according to gender breakdown.
