Inpatients with healthcare-associated infection, percentage (%)
Description
This is a development key figure, see questions and answers on kolada.se for more information. Percentage (%) of all enrolled patients affected by a care-associated infection (VRI) in somatic inpatient care at the time of measurement. Each VRI is estimated to extend the duration of care by an average of 4 additional days of care. In addition to the direct suffering that affects each individual patient, significant resources are used. The measurement is carried out over a two-week period, twice a year (of which the spring measurement is shown in Kolada), which gives a snapshot at the time of measurement and the outcome may be influenced by other external factors at the relevant time.
