Stroke unit care rate (%) - Target level ≥ 90
Description
Proportion of patients with stroke who are treated at a stroke unit, IVA or neurosurgical clinic at some point during the acute illness period. Patients of all ages are included. A stroke unit is a specialised inpatient unit that takes full or almost full care of patients with stroke and TIA and is managed by a multidisciplinary team, particularly knowledgeable in stroke care.
