Ophthalmic floor examination in type 1 diabetes - medical clinic, proportion (%) - Target level ≥ 98
Description
Percentage of people aged 18 years and older with type 1 diabetes who have had an eye examination at some point in the last two years. The recommendation in the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines is that people without known retinopathy should do an eye bottom examination every two years if they have type 1 diabetes. People with known retinopathy should be examined more frequently. The National Board of Health and Welfare has stated for the indicator thus defined as the target level that at least 98 per cent must have undergone an ophthalmic examination. The indicator shown here includes everyone with type 1 diabetes, whether they have known retinopathy or not. The target level is therefore not fully applicable to the outcome of the indicator shown here.
