Description
Percentage of people aged 18 years and older with type 1 diabetes who have blood pressure lower than 140/85 mmHg. High blood pressure leads to an increased risk of diabetes complications such as heart attack and angina, ischemic stroke, high blood pressure, vascular narrowing of bones and eye diseases. The National Board of Health and Welfare has set as a target level that at least 90 per cent of all people with type 1 diabetes should have a blood pressure below 140/85 mmHg.
