Description
The proportion of patients who survived 30 days after surgery for rectal cancer. The vast majority of operations are planned, with only 0.5 per cent being operated on acutely. The patient's disease level may vary between units. No adjustment has been made for the staging of the tumour or for other factors that may affect the outcome.
