Also include some specialist competencies such as elderly educator, Silvia sisters or staff with higher education in the health or care field who serve as care staff. The older study scheme refers to: the older nursing education of 32 or 40 weeks, 31 weeks special course, training for nurses in psychiatric care, care-oriented supplemental course, two-year care line, mental health education, two or three semesters i.e. courses of at least 1000 points according to the National Board of Health and Welfare’s scoring in the nursing lift. Or: the older upper secondary education, i.e. three-year nursing line or nursing programme of at least 1,350 upper secondary school credits in character subjects according to the National Board of Health and Welfare’s score calculation in the nursing lift. The new study scheme refers to the health and social care programme of at least 1,400 upper secondary school credits in character subjects according to the GY 2011 Health and Care Programme.
