Difference between the actual value of the percentage of pupils who have attained the knowledge requirements and the model calculated value from the Swedish National Agency for Education’s SALSA model, in percentage points. For municipal level, the National Agency for Education calculated a combined result for pupils in the municipality’s own schools until 2012, after which results are produced only at school level. At unit level (school) results are produced for all schools located in the municipality, regardless of direction. In SALSA, it is the parents’ level of education and the distribution of boys/girls as well as the proportion of newly immigrated pupils that constitute the background factors. In the SALSA model, children with a foreign background have been replaced by the proportion of newly immigrant pupils (the pupils who came to Sweden for the first time in the last four years).
