Total mileage per year of passenger cars registered in the geographical area divided by the total number of inhabitants of the geographical area. Refers to the mileage of cars registered in the geographical area and does not say anything about the geographical areas in which these cars have driven. Refers to cars registered on both legal and natural persons (Note that cars written on legal persons, such as companies, may affect the statistics for municipalities where many companies and head offices are located).
