Fossil-independent passenger cars, share of total number of cars in the geographical area (%)

Number of fossil-independent passenger cars in the geographical area divided by the total number of passenger cars in the geographical area. Fossil-independent means cars that are able to run on a fuel from renewable sources but do not necessarily do so all the time. Cars of the types of gas (CNG, biogas, natural gas, methane gas), electricity, E85, plug-in hybrid (provided they can be charged with cord), hydrogen and cars approved by the manufacturer to run on HVO100 (synthetic diesel of renewable origin) are included.
