Description
Total emissions of PM2.5 (particles < 2.5 microM.) from international transport within the geographical area. International transport includes international flights below 1 000 m altitude in Swedish airspace as well as international shipping within Sweden’s borders. Emissions should not be interpreted as consumption-based emissions. Individual industrial activities lead to high emissions locally, while the sector’s own heating reflects the conditions in the municipality well. The key figure follows up the environmental quality objective Frisk air, see also sverigesmiljomal.se.
