Description
Total emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from foreign transport within the geographical area. International transport includes foreign flights below 1 000 m altitude in Swedish airspace as well as foreign shipping within Sweden’s borders. Emissions should not be interpreted as consumption-based emissions. Sometimes road traffic on the core road network and individual industrial activities can lead to high emissions locally. The key figure follows up the environmental quality objective Frisk air, see also sverigesmiljomal.se.
