Description
Total emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from transport within the geographical area. Transportation includes passenger cars, trucks, railways, mopeds/motorcycles, buses, enter air traffic, domestic civil shipping, military transport but also emissions from tires, brakes, road surface and evaporation from road vehicles. Emissions should not be interpreted as consumption-based emissions. Sometimes road traffic on the core road network and individual industrial activities can lead to high emissions locally.
