Emissions to air of ammonia (NH3), waste, kg/inv
Description
Total ammonia (NH3) emissions from waste (including sewage) within the geographical area, measured in kg divided by number of inhabitants. The subsectors included are: Landfills, bio-treatment of waste, treatment of waste water, incineration of hazardous waste, accidental fires and other waste management. Emissions per inhabitant should not be interpreted as consumption-based emissions. A large proportion of farms can lead to large emissions locally.
