Description
Total ammonia (NH3) emissions from the agricultural sector within the geographical area, measured in kg divided by number of inhabitants. The agricultural sector includes emissions from different types of manure, animal digestion, liming of arable land, cultivation of organogenic and mineral soils, and indirect emissions of nitrous oxide from managed land. Emissions per inhabitant should not be interpreted as consumption-based emissions. A large proportion of farms can lead to large emissions locally.
