Description
Total emissions of PM2.5 (particles < 2.5 microM.) from the agricultural sector in the geographical area, divided by inhabitants. The agricultural sector includes emissions from different types of manure, animal digestion, liming of arable land, cultivation of organogenic and mineral soils, and indirect emissions of nitrous oxide from managed land. Emissions per inhabitant should not be interpreted as consumption-based emissions. Individual industrial activities lead to high emissions locally, while the sector’s own heating reflects the conditions in the municipality well.
