Cost of traffic and infrastructure, SEK/inv
Description
Gross cost less internal revenues and sales to other municipalities and regions for traffic and infrastructure, divided by the number of inhabitants in the region on 31/12. Regions together with municipalities are responsible for public transport in the county through special county transport companies. Exceptions to this rule exist. For example, Stockholm County and Region Skåne are solely responsible for county traffic in their counties. As of 2012, a new law on public transport has entered into force. This means that the division of responsibilities can be changed in some cases, with the region contributing to infrastructure investments, such as telecommunications and data communications and road construction.
