Immediate breast reconstructions in mastectomy, percentage (%) - Target level ≥ 20
Description
Proportion of breast cancer cases that have undergone direct reconstruction at the same time as when the breast is removed, among surgical cases without remote metastases at diagnosis. Immediate reconstruction means that a breast shape is recreated when the breast is surgically removed. The National Breast Cancer Quality Registry has set a higher target level for the indicator of 20% and a lower level of 15%.
