Breast-preserving surgery in small invasive tumours in breast cancer, percentage (%) - Target level ≥ 85
Description
Proportion of breast cancer cases with small invasive tumours (less than 30 mm) undergoing breast-preserving surgery. Refers to patients without remote metastases at diagnosis. Breast preservation and radiotherapy are standard procedures for the majority of early detection cases of breast cancer. The National Breast Cancer Quality Registry has set a higher target level for the indicator of 85% and a lower target level of 70%.
