Description
Proportion of primarily operated breast cancer cases without remote metastases at diagnosis where the time from well-founded suspicion of cancer to surgery is within 28 calendar days. Well-founded suspicion means findings such as malignant lumps in the breast or armpit, altered contour of the breast, newly inserted nipple. For some patients, further investigation is required, which may extend the time to the start of treatment. The target level was set at 80% of the national quality register for breast cancer.
